Today I did something that would not make my mother proud. I ordered a Vegan Starters Kit from PETA. If my mother found out she would picket and burn an animal in my front yard in retaliation. Just Kidding. But let's just say she's not PETA's most avid fan, but she is "health's" most avid fan and would support the Vegan aspect. So hey mother, technically I'm doing what you've taught me: to live in the sweet light of Health and...sapping PETA of it's resources by ordering a free kit - in which they pay shipping and handling - therefore, I myself am burning a symbolic sacrificial animal in PETA's front yard. You're welcome.

I'm in California again this time with my oldest brother Jimson and Nana. I love these people so much, I am so lucky to be in this family. A Lynch and a Nielson is what I am - so much to live up to and so much to build upon. I have amazing blood running through these veins.

Neuroscience
Monday, January 23, 2012 From my cousin, Jessica who is a doing incredible things in the realms of science as an amazing Neuroscientist: Here is some great advice from a very wise man, to anyone that wants to learn
neuroscience:
"Learning neuroscience is a challenge. One reason is that it is difficult to begin by presenting the 'big picture' and then move to the details. Instead, in most cases one can't understand the big picture without knowing the details. Usually it is not until the end of the course that all the pieces start to 'come together'. This causes anxiety. The most important advice I can give is, be patient. The big picture will eventually become clear." ~ Dr. Oswald Steward ~
Neuroscience, I love it. It's my favorite section at Barnes & Noble. A good 50% of the books I revel in contain a trace of it. I hope to one day play a small part in this field of science after my education. Taking the first step, patience, and hard work, my friends.
Laguna Bottled Water
Sunday, January 22, 2012You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself one. - James A. Froude English historian (1818 -94)
This past weekend I was able to spend with my lovely Nana, brother Topher, his fiancee Johanna, and my mum. Oh how I needed it. I felt like a fish who's been out of water too long these past few weeks and a little family + beach time was my perfect H2O. Apparently, I have expensive taste in water.
BUT I only spent $14 on this trip. Why? Because I fly for free with Southwest thanks to the mum's employment and because my lovely Nana has found freedom along with a beachside apartment on Laguna Beach. So the $14 was for parking my car at the airport before I left the state of Utah. Glory being to blessings from God. I am so lucky, happy, grateful, and amazed at the things I am given sometimes. And of course, I never know when one of those blessings will be taken and passed to someone else so I'm trying to enjoy the saturated goodness while it's here.
Speaking of saturated, my eyes were saturated as the plane crossed the snow saturated Utah border taking me back to my life in Provo. It wasn't the happiest moment of my life. That plane was having a tug a war with the state of California over my soul. I wanted California to win, but physics were against us. I also wanted to remember happiness as I returned, despite the recent loss of friends in Provo, and loss of the people closest to me here.
But then again, there is beauty in the breakdown, according to Frou Frou. And according to Mae, my Destination=beautiful. So, what's to be unhappy about? My goal this week is to not waste one moment on myself, not give one moment to sadness, self-pity, discouragement, etc. I'm listening to a commercial right now on my roommate's TV that just said "It's time to fight back". haha that's right shallow tv commercial, it IS time to fight back.
Let the exciting week begin.

cookies n cream folks
Oh Lupe, kicking and pushing. Love this song. Almost as much as I love making lists. For example, today, I attempted walking to class again. This is my fourth attempt this week and fourth fail. It's so unintelligent and silly, every time I'm so hopeful as I drive to school straight from work and it literally doesn't cross my mind that my leg might not be good enough. Then I end up at the nearest building to where I parked, on a chair or in a bathroom frustrated. So as I sat in the Wilk Bookstore's bathroom today and while the leg frustration was getting flushed from my system I wrote this one:
Things I've Learned From Life Since My Right Knee...Happened:
1. Being alone is not as bad of a thing as I had imagined it to be in my head.
2. Be sober, Listen more.
3. Rely on the Lord.
4. Sometimes in life you really do need help, you can't do it on your own, and that's okay.
5. People care, genuinely, way more often than you'd expect.
6. Don't try to make a deal with God, bargaining when you have no leverage is just a bad idea.
7. Smiling, despite conditions, makes life better.
8. Be careful what you laugh at.
9. Good Sleep saturates your day life.
10. Submission & Sacrifice are two of life's most brilliant Teachers.
And most of all, I will forever have ingrained in my soul a refreshed love for good health. I freaking love moving, I love sports, dancing, basketball, yoga, I love using my legs to drive, to walk to class, to walk and sit where ever I want in church, at a movie, or in class, to walk up/down stairs, jumping into my bed, running, doing somersaults, climbing trees, getting out my car to fill up with gas, taking the trash out, walking down store isles, lifting boxes when I move, jumping to get something on the high shelf, being able to crawl under a table if I need to get something, etc etc.And I love that even without my right knee I can have an awesome time hanging out with my man and/or friends. Tonight included.

God Is an Astronaut
Tuesday, August 30, 2011It went down. As epically as this video I've posted here by God is an Astronaut. And like this video, I'm trying to just as thoroughly enjoy the beauty in the melancholy breakdown. I'm forever lost in whatever attitude I carry with me through life, right here in this brain resting on my head. It's times like these that make me miss Gabe, but also times like these that help me remember that I have a best friend named Gabe who is chilling in the Argentina jungles having the time of his life...and that more than anything makes me ridiculous-happy, which is the best kind of happy to feel.
Anyways, hope everyone's doing lots of crazy-amazing things with their lives. And if you're not, then here are a few ideas: write a book - right now, about anything, make it timeless people. Go do someone a favor, expect nothing in return. Listen to "Comptine D'un Autre Ete" by Yann Tiersen. It's on Youtube. Now go have a lovely day.
here's a free one:

Sharpe, Edward
Monday, August 1, 2011
I went to the Twilight Series Concert last Thursday with a favorite to see Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. So good, so happy. Man, Life has been so good as of late. Sometimes I fear that life's going to all of a sudden take a nose dive because of how high i'm flying and how long this goodness has lasted. Just like my favorite source for advice, Eminem, says, "what goes up, must come down".
This is my favorite remix done by RAC to their song called Home. Its free, its insta-happy, its Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.
